A good Laboratory is a very important part of the ways available to a clinician to help make a diagnosis or an assessment of a patient's progress. Classically, the tests fall into three broad areas - Haematology (Blood Transfusion), Clinical Chemistry (which includes measuring hormones and drugs) and Medical Microbiology (Immunology) All of these are represented in-house by sections of our laboratory, which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, supervised by skilled Medical Laboratory Scientists operating modern computerised equipment, with strict Quality Control. We can arrange for unusual tests to be carried out in dedicated specialist centres when necessary.
