Geodetic Offshore Services Limited (GOSL) has recognized the need of our clients for ROV services and we have invested in this technology. GOSL is taking delivery of a Mohawk Inspection Class Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) to conduct offshore pipeline surveys, wellhead and platform inspection surveys, Cathodic Protection (CP) surveys, NDT inspections and tooling.
GOSL offers inspection class ROV services, deploying Sub-Atlantic's Mohawk ROV rated to 1000 metres water depth as a free-flying vehicle. The Mohawk ROV equipment can be deployed as a stand-alone service on platforms and third party vessels.
This small, professional inspection ROV delivers exceptionally high thrust in all directions from Sub-Atlantic's reliable AC power thruster system. Mohawk provides high quality video for inspection work and also has capabilities for running underslung tool packages such as tree valve torque tools, high pressure water jetting pumps and small hydraulic or electric manipulators.
Mohawk is rated at 1000 metres of water / 3280 feet of water standard but can be easily upgraded to 2000 metres / 6560 feet. Mohawk uses a small diameter main lift cable which reduces the Launch and Recovery System requirements and vessel deck space.
The GOSL ROV has been equipped with tools (boom arms, manipulators for CP stabbing) and skids to mount standard survey sensors. All ROV operations are supported by a project manager working from the GOSL office and a technical support and maintenance team within the workshop located in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
GOSL's ROV is used for construction support activities, including but not limited to pipe and cable lay operations (pipeline and cable touch-down monitoring, trenching monitoring and depth of burial measurement).
